Cheap CS2 Knives are less colorful, but they still look cool.

Purchasing a knife in CS2 is the dream of many CS2 players, myself included. A lot of us, however, don’t have the money or simply don’t want to spend a staggering amount on a cosmetic, making the cheapest knives in CS2 more appealing.

These knives may not look as good as a Karambit Doppler or a Butterfly Knife Black Laminate, but they’ll still be a massive visual upgrade compared to CS2‘s default knife.

If you’re on a tight budget, you should buy one of the Navaja Knife versions in CS2. Navaja Knives are generally cheap and always in stock. My first CS2 Knife was a Navaja and it also happened to be my gateway to more expensive Knives.

Why are CS2 Knives so expensive?

CS2 Knives are expensive because they are some of the rarest items in the game. At its core, it’s a simple demand versus supply equation. The demand for CS2 Knives is almost always high while the supply is limited. Even if you open the best CS2 cases, your chances of getting a Knife will be considerably low compared to a regular weapon skin.

Knives are among the most expensive cosmetics you can get in CS2, along with gloves and special skins for the AWP, AK-47, and M4A4. The reason why Counter-Strike 2 knives cost so much is because the odds of getting one from official skin cases are approximately one in 400 tries and because not only do they change the visuals of the weapon, but each of them comes with a unique movement animation.
